Most people turn up a little unsure about being photographed. That's normal, and getting past it is most of the work — the first ten minutes are for that and nothing else.
I start with light before anything else: a window, a wall that throws it back, the hour the sun drops behind the buildings. Direction stays light. Enough to shape the frame, not so much that you end up performing.
Sessions run either as a studio set-up, where I build the light from scratch, or outdoors around Ankara. Which suits you depends on what the pictures are for.

Based in Ankara, and I travel for the right project.
